Thanks for the input on yesterday's post.
Well the 20 week course is sold out, so no joy there. Now looking at Goethe Institut, whose classes are more expensive and I'd only get 12 weeks in before the trip, but looks like the only chance of doing something worthwhile for this trip. -
Learning German
As you know I have an affection for Germany. Mostly the South if we're being honest, but then that's probably as much because I've never been to the north as anything else. It's not just the beer (although that's a big part of it) - I love the food, the people the culture, and I just think it's a really great place to be.

Dear computer whizzes....
Does anyone know how to make a webcam work?
Not for talking to someone like on skype, but where it takes a picture every x-seconds and then uploads it to a webpage?
I have a webcam (somewhere - I bought three of them when I went to NZ, gave two away and kept the third one - I don't think I've ever plugged it in) and web space. -
On Christmas prep
So there I was thinking I was great, because I was just about organised for Christmas a clear two weeks before the day. This is pretty much unheard of. Hijacked!
On December 9th, 1964, John Coltrane went into a studio and recorded A Love Supreme. Since that was 45 years ago to the day, I had decided I was going to sit back and listen to the record and write a post about it.
