sarah just invited me to the rep tonight to see the play about the LR9! i have read sooo many good things about that play. i can't wait! haven't been to a play in at least a couple of years. -

i keep eating my sister's home cooking and i keep losing weight. it is perplexing. i think that it comes down to eating more filling foods and snacking a lot less. i used to snack through 2 boxes of pop tarts a week and now i don't eat any at all. either that, of i've got a tape worm. -

last night, my niece and i were watching the nova special on hurricane katrina. she asked me, "why does god destroy his creations with hurricanes, tornadoes, and tsunamis?"
my honest answer would have exposed her to a hitherto unknown level of sacrilegious sarcasm, so i kept my mouth shout. -
HOT!
one consoling factor in today's 103 F heat is the low, low 28% humidity. much better than the 80+% himidity that was normal about a month ago.
but it still feels like somone left the oven on when you open your front door.

my foot is swollen. the skin aches because it is stretched tight. and the bruise has become bruises that are creeping along the bottom edges of my foot. ugh. this is depressing. i am going to try to make an apptmt with my doctor as soon as the office opens tomorrow. just to make sure nothing can be done. -

northern new mexico is beautiful and all, but i am ready to get the hell out. at this teachers' conference, i have to make pleasant small talk every time i turn around. there is always someone new to talk to or some assignment from the facilitators to do. and the roommate of my fellow LR teacher just keeps on working to get close to me or talk to ( Read more... ) -

the teacher workshop in new mexico is going well. the place is beautiful. i have to live in a dorm, which means public baths and a roommate. on the other hand, my "dorm" is a castle, of sorts way up a mountain.
not too bad.
