"He is." He finished B's sentence for him, key word still omitted. Not that he knew anything about L, besides what he had gleaned from B's memory, but that was enough to see what L had meant to him.

"And I could go home." He couldn't help but argue that. He didn't want to believe that this was all that was left for him, even if the only thing waiting for him at home wasn't exactly promising. His identity crisis had gotten better here. He'd started glitching again, a few days ago, but... he was dealing with it. He wasn't being forced to be someone he wasn't.

"Besides, if I left, I would just be back in a few weeks, anyway. That seems to be the trend here." He shrugged it off.

B followed closer, a curious sort of look on his face. "Can you Sylar? How can you?" He asked, sounding delighted. "Was it your powers Sylar?" No talking about L. Sylar, he was the first B ever met who had that unnatural talent flowing through his genes. Not the misplaced sight of a death god but something much more catastrophic.

It made B's smile sharpen.

B's immediate assumption that he was talking about his powers made him laugh. "No, not my powers. Just my luck. And my incorrigible disposition." He started walking again. "It just... happens. Or so I'm told. I've been here several times, and each time I leave, I reappear a couple weeks later. Not that I remember any of the other times, but still. That's just my life for you. Nothing to do with abilities."

"Once and again and again." B hummed. "The power shifts even in hell- purgatory-" he corrected, holding a finger up at Sylar. "You shifted too, changed. Why are you different Sylar?" he said, looking at his friend like a particularly curious science project.

Sylar looked at B with a bit of disbelief, but still kept smiling. "Because I came from a different time, I guess." A small shrug. "A lot has happened since then. A lot has changed. I'm not like you. I'm not--" He decided to stop that sentence there and be a good friend.
