The New England Browncoats just survived our fourth annual Can't Stop the Serenity weekend! We sold out Friday night for the first time ever; I'm not sure if we sold out Saturday but the Coolidge was darn near full. I've had a relatively busy weekend. I took Friday off just to make a long weekend, and spent the afternoon bumming around the Brimfield antiques fair. The folks from New England Fan Experience had passes for a pre-screening of the new "Star Trek" movie and were looking for people who would show up in costume (any costume). So I went in my Mad Scientist gear and got to see it for free. :D ( Read more... )

Today's weather was warm, even slightly toasty. It was a great day for visiting the sheepshearing festival at Gore Place in Waltham. Waltham's mostly covered with businesses and homes, but there are a few old estates like Gore Place that have been preserved, and I forget they're there sometimes. It was nice to be out and about in the sunshine!
