Local backyard beekeepers continue to be fantastic. But beekeeping still seems like too much work for me. Seeing area backyard wildlife habitats makes me want more rain barrels ( Read more... ) -

roving eyes
Ventured over to Galaxy Hut to visit friends and check out some music, with the result that I am so, so tired today. A couple of those people (*cough* The Eye *cough*) I had almost lost hope of ever seeing again! Out-of-town visitor visiting has been excellent recently. Conveniently timed telecommute day enabled me to lunch with bobmonster, wifemonster and bluvampr last week. Also discovered a promising wild bird supply store which bodes well for the birdies but poorly for my wallet ( Read more... ) -

We (finally) watched "A Beautiful Mind" a couple weeks ago. Good flick! I can see why it got all those awards and stuff.
Now Colin tells me that one day way back when, his dad was sitting in the library at Princeton and John Nash walked up and shot him in the face with a water pistol. I am amused. -

Ew. Sometimes nature is just gross.
eta: Argh, having read wikipedia entry about "playing possum", now I'm worried it wasn't really dead. Will spend rest of day in fear of trash can. -
