Have to say my guiltiest New York pleasure thus far is Strand Books. This week and last week I caught a matinée then walked over to peruse the $1 carts. Been picking up anthologies or collected works as reading them is inspiring writing of my own. Also found a used copy of someday this pain will be useful to you that called to me. Was on the train heading to Manhattan yesterday when a troop of kids from a local Day Care got on. They were adorable, all in yellow shirts, being escorted by two ladies to something. I'm insufferably proud of myself for getting the Range Expander to work. Ended up having the room mate reset the configuration on the router so I could manually set things up. Matched the expander to the more limited settings. Then got WPA set up. His stuff is all connected plus I have four bars in my room ( Read more... ) -
Fireworks, Independence
Was surprised how anxious I got about the party last night. I'd never met Ed in person and I knew no one else. Really dragged my feet getting out there. Was so tired last night I forgot to write anything. The last two days have gone by very fast. Yesterday I did get out to Chase to setup a checking account. Wells Fargo has no branches out here and their WaMu conversions won't finish until next year. Was dead tired after last night. Did wake up at my usual 5:30am but thankfully got back to sleep until around 8am.
