So I just went back through the past 8 days or so of LJ.

Lately, I've been thinking about the Occupy movement in relation to past revolutions in the US. I'm thinking specifically of the labor movement in the 1930s and 1940s, as well as the social revolution and civil rights movement of the sixties. On June 23rd, 2011, I had a major aha moment. We've all had them- those moments where something about the world suddenly makes sense, and we see things in a new light.
