The sale of my parents’ house continues to frustrate and concern us. The survey went very well and there are NO areas for concern… there is one settlement crack between the utility room extension and the main house, which has been there for over 30 years and is purely cosmetic… and yet the buyer has sent the survey to her solicitor as she wants ( Read more... )

Three weeks or so ago I dropped my beloved iPhone down the loo. I may have mentioned it. So, I spent a week or so drying it out, and apart from none of the buttons working any more, it wasn’t too bad. However, the screen’s backlight kept failing, making the screen unreadable/unusable. My mum and dad have finally - FINALLY! - been made an offer for their house, a year after they put it on the market. They’ve accepted it, even though it’s a fait bit lower than the asking price, which itself has been dropped considerably.
