Chapter 10 Kibum ran to Kevin’s classroom on Thursday, when the bell signaling the end of the last lesson rang. “Kevin! Kevin!”
All eyes obviously turned to the voice, before staring harder when Kim Kibum, (as said before, but glamorous titles must always be re-announced) the school’s most desired man (despite your gender), was smiling so brightly it could outshine twenty suns.
“You have no idea what just happened!” Kibum slipped into the classroom and held both sides of Kevin’s table in the opposite direction, leaning over it to get closer to Kevin, who was sitting comfortably in his seat.
“Honestly, I have.” Kevin replied calmly, keeping his belongings back into his bag. “You just came speeding into my classroom, at about 10.6 kilometre per hour. Then you pushed about two tables away as heard from the noise, before stopping yourself just in time in front of me. Let me remind you though, that despite whatever had happened before whatever just happened, you’re not allowed to run in the corridors.”
Alexander gawked. As expected of Kevin, very expected.
“I passed my quiz!” Kibum beamed, ignoring Kevin’s lecture. “I passed my quiz!”
“…” Kevin frowned. “That’s not good, you should have gotten full marks.”
“…” Kibum blinked back. “Um, I’m not that smart.”
“Nonsense.” Kevin stood up, looking behind Kibum. “Where’s your bag? I could go straight to the library now.”
“Oh, back in my class.” Kibum grinned. “Just had to spread the happy news.”
Kevin pushed out his lips as he thought about the whole incident for a while. He should give Kibum more confidence, no? “How much did you score?”
“A nine! Of ten! Can you believe it?” Kibum’s eyes brightened up again, and there was a few girls that fainted at the side (and sight).
“Good job.” Kevin smiled back, nodding with two thumbs up. “That’s just a mark from perfect, we’ll get there. Trust me, I’ll make you get there.”
Kibum laughed. “Let me get my bag, I’ll give you a list of treats I’m offering and you can choose anything you want when we meet in the library again. Bye~!”
Kevin scratched his head, shaking Kibum’s peculiar behaviour away. He was just happy, nevermind the sudden cheerful personality.
“I’m impressed.” Alexander commented, still in a dazed condition. “He smiled so much in one day, because of a quiz?! Is he a closet NERD?!”
“I’m not complaining.” A girl squeaked.
-
“You’re biased.” Soohyun pouted.
“What?” Kevin stared at Soohyun, bewildered. “Biased?!”
“How come Kibum’s grade improved so much and mine isn’t budging?” Soohyun sadly said, showing a three marks quiz to Kevin. “You’re biased.”
“Excuse me?” Kevin rolled his eyes. “If you haven’t noticed, I put in extra effort for you, not him. But, he puts in extra effort, not you.”
Soohyun fell silent, jabbing his work in guilt. Well, he had been trying his best! I mean, there was a zonal competition coming up and-
Fine, he didn’t put in his all.
“Sorry.”
Kevin sighed, smiling a little. “I get that you’re worried. I overheard a conversation about the zonal competition for soccer. But if you don’t get your priorities right, even God can’t save you.”
“…” Soohyun nodded, while Kibum reached over Kevin with a comforting squeeze on the athletes’ shoulder.
“We’ll do this together.” Kibum grinned.

Kevin and Alexander won the competition flawlessly, being praised for their fluency in the language while being logical about their stand. Alexander inserted some humour while Kevin had to tie those bad examples up, and they were called the best pair of all the pairs present.
They stood in silence as the best debater was being decided by the judges, Kevin waited anxiously while Alexander stood around distractedly. He kept trying to look away, because the female judge was actually wearing a very mixed concept that looked awful on her. If he didn’t look away, he was sure his criticism couldn’t stay in his mouth, and it would even shoot her off her balance.
“The best debater goes to…” The representative of the judges spoke calmly into the microphone.
Kevin thought he was about to faint.
Alexander wondered if it was really a British accent he heard.
“Kevin Woo.”
Kevin squealed, although everyone else probably expected him to win. He grabbed Alexander’s shoulders and turned him around, jumping onto him with arms wide open, ecstatic about his win.
“Wow, wow.” Alexander raised an eyebrow. “You weren’t that excited when we won.”
“I’m just happy because you were pretty good. Your chances were high!” Kevin exclaimed, finally releasing Alexander from the tight embrace. “Oh my, I won~!”
“We won.” Alexander smiled, shaking Kevin’s hand as a friendly gesture.
Kevin beamed, nodding furiously. “Yes, WE won! I’m so proud of you, seriously, so proud of you!”
Alexander guessed they are now friends. Rocky relationship, but friends.

I'm sorry it's so short. I was out the whole day but I wanted to post so here you go. I'm really sorry! :( On top of it, I wasn't in the mood to add 200 words to this lacking chapter because I'm suddenly all emotional. Looked at new photos of U-KISS and just started crying. Then I saw this Alexander GIF and cried. Then I talked to my friend and cried.
I'm going insane.
