I went to Scotland and got eaten by midges. I am now mostly scratching. Also my boots died.

Last night I rode in the forest! It turns out that the main skill in horse riding is in not letting your horse eat the entire forest.

Late on Friday night1 I was walking home along the canals when I heard an almighty rustling in the long grass. It sounded enormous - possibly a mugger, or maybe a gigantic scorpion monster2.
