Summary: Soifon and Kira are in love but living happily ever after might not be on the cards for them.
Author's note: Set in the same alternative timeline as The Truth Behind The Smile. Work-In-Progress
I know what you are thinking, you are thinking "Tinni you are crazy! Those two are just wrong! Besides I thought Soifon had the hot for Yoruichi!" Well Soifon and Yoruichi have about as much chance of working out as Ichimaru Gin and Kira Izuru and for about the same reasons (see my fic The Visit for further information on my thoughts on Gin x Kira). Soifon is so submissive and devoted to Yoruichi, that she she has to psyche herself up to disagree with Yoruichi when the latter picks a swimsuit for the former that Soifon does't like and thinks is a kids swimsuit. Not to mention that her protests were to no avail as Yoruichi rammed through her decision on the swimsuit anyway. However, their similar level of devotion to their Captains, who did disappear abruptly from their lives and were accused of being traitors does make them able to understand each other better than anyone else can. Plus Soifon and Kira both lost family members, Soifon her five brother and Kira his parents while he was still fairly young (though we don't know exactly how young he was). Also, underneath it all Soifon is a lonely soul, similar to Kira. So, they are perfect for each other!
