I went to see Semi Pro today, and one of the trailers was for the Sex and the City movie.

I got chills. I cannot wait until it's in the theater. -
Year #25
Today is my birthday, and I think it has been the best of the 25 I've had. I had a wonderful birthday dinner last night, surrounded by fantastic, funny, warm, loving friends who are to me like family. Farewell
Steve's dad passed away at about 6 p.m. today, after over a year battling colon cancer. He was diagnosed five weeks before our wedding, and never caught a break. He was a man with a stubborn streak, and fought to the very end. He had been in hospice care since December 20, and his decline was rapid. New House!
Steve and I are now grownups with a mortgage - well, we will be in October when our house is all done. It will be brand new, and in Veneta, Oregon. I've created a new blog just for the house at http://stellaradventure.wordpress.com/.

Almost nothing in nature makes me happier than the smell of fresh spring rain. So satisfying to my senses. -
Food for Thought
There is a really interesting-in-a-sad-way dicussion going on over in knitting and another knitting community I'm in. It involves women of color setting up a stitch and bitch specifically for women of color. Honeymoon!
Steve and I leave tomorrow for our Hawaiian honeymoon. I can't even explain how excited I am. We are going to be in Hawaii for almost 10 days. I can't wait!
