I was tagged by morianna1, and while I rarely do these things, I decided to do this one. Random, remember? ~points to post title~ So in the meme category:
I haven't been spoiled, so I'm looking forward to seeing if the book lines up with the movie once I've finished. So far, I'm enjoying it, but then I've always liked Lehane's style.
It is, poor baby. But he gets to come home tomorrow, and my mom is already planning on a looooong cuddle session with him. ~grin~
And wtf is with the vet clinic??? That's just insane. Do they need someone to draw them a diagram? *boggles* I'm glad the poor puppy seems to be doing better. I hope he doesn't have any lingering effects from that fiasco.
Thanks. Oh, it was definitely insane. It's the sort of clinic that does spaying/neutering and has a vet come in once a week to handle it. We suspect that they had so many animals to do that day that one of the assistants "helped" with the actual neutering. Unless the vet was drunk or stoned (always a possibility, I guess), I can't see how she would have made such an egregious mistake.
We hope he doesn't have any lingering effects, either. Our vet assures us that he won't, though, so we have high hopes.
OMG! There's no excuse for that. There's no excuse for not telling you that they botched the operation. There's no excuse for them not correcting at the time what they did wrong. What a horrible vet! I'd report that vet and the whole office to the Better Business Bureau and whatever Vet AMA type thing they have as well. The Butcher Vet should pay for everything after screwing up so badly. Geeze! I hope Cody will be good as new when he finally heals up, poor guy.
My sympathies for the diverticulitis flare up, that's miserable.
Quiet frankly, I'm not sure the person who did the neutering knew they'd messed up so badly. Or if they did, they were afraid to tell the vet. We suspect that it was an assistant who did the actual neutering, but of course, no one will admit to that because the vet's license wouldn't cover that sort of thing.
Thanks! It has been miserable, yes, but I'm on the mend finally.
You diet sounds a lot like my "Grumpy Gallbladder Diet". Guaranteed to drop the pounds that's for sure! :D
And WTF with the so-called vet? Was it even a real licensed vet or a vet assist that did the butchery? I'm betting the latter. They do the same at many hospitals for circumcisions (why pay a real doctor to do that when you have all these "almost doctors" and doctor's assistants who get paid starvation wages to do it?) Why? It's quick and easy money and doesn't take up the doctor's time.
LOL - Yes, the Grumpy Gallbadder diet is something that I'm familiar with, too. (I had mine out years ago because of gallstones.) That deprivation diet sucks, but it does drop the pounds. ~nods~
Like you, we suspect it was an assistant who did the work. No one will admit it, but there were too many dogs and cats scheduled that day for any one vet to get to them all.
