I feel the need to clarify.

Prop 8 sucks balls. I hate that it was approved. However, it was, and it was done so legally. The courts are not designed to legislate, they're to verify legallity of new legislature.

I hope that Prop 8 is overturned quickly by ballot initiative.

Have you seen anything about this yet?  My knee jerk response to reading this is to question if the US is becoming China.  This is a bill that would give the president the ability to "declare a cybersecurity emergency" and shut down or limit Internet traffic in any "critical" information network "in the interest of national security."   Which at ( Read more... )

Had a good day today.  We went to the Tempe Arts Festival.  Was a glorious day outside and while we didn't buy anything, we had a fantastic time people watching and meeting puppies ;)  Took our virgin ride on the Light Rail to get there, was a pleasure to not have to deal with Tempe traffic.  Now, all I want to do is eat my fabulous chicken cesar ( Read more... )

So today I heard that Linda's mom passed away.  Linda is one of "them" and while I still can't abide the woman, I'd met her mother and she was a very sweet lady.  So without thought I sent an e-mail to Linda expressing my condolences.  Now that it's been sent I'm concerned that it will look like I was sucking up or some such.  Oh well, I did what ( Read more... )

Frank's got what's called a "Giant Cell Tumor" in his hand.  It's what has been causing him so much pain...they apparently grow very very fast and get more painful.  Good news---not cancerous.  Bad news, he's got to have surgery (and not the nice arthroscopic kind).  Good news--they're getting him in super quick, this wednesday to be prescise.  Bad ( Read more... )

So I completely can't sleep tonight.  I was on IM with Bryan and he asked about the whole birthday debacle.  I was as non snarky as I could be.  I send him the e-mail I sent and the one I got back 10 days later.

I'm with him.  A fuck you text message the day of the party would've been easier to deal with, and more mature.
