omg! i'm watching dick cavett interview ingmar bergman (1971) on tcm (bergman film fest tonight!) and they are talking about how they both have restless legs syndrome!

so do i! my mom had it too and she called it 'crazy legs'.

we took a trip to some of former yugoslavia (slovenia, croatia, montenegro, bosnia-herzegovina) last september. for some reason i've been avoiding getting my photos rounded up and prepared for viewing. i think i felt like the magic would slip away from me if i looked at them, like they were a far away memory ( Read more... )

today is the 15th anniversary of the northridge earthquake. i remember it as VERY scary, much scarier than the 1971 sylmar quake. northridge was a completely different kind of earthquake than the sylmar quake. the sylmar quake was more roll-y while the northridge quake was SO LOUD and jerk-y, but then again i was a kid during the 1971 quake. i just learned today that the guy i sold my celica to (that i had for SEVENTEEN YEARS, boo hoo) let it go to hell and it's been salvaged. i wish i had kept it in my carport. the only reason i let him have it was because he said he could work on it (something we couldn't do), and because he needed a car and was short on funds ( Read more... )

but seriously. we're in new jersey, spending the night and then getting on another plane tomorrow. lordy, what a long strange trip it's been. :D
