Eldest son has got the date for the final phase of his army application. It isn't until September, though, and if he gets in he will be in the January intake, so I have him a while longer.

Since complaining about lj being slower than a slow thing on a go-slow it has been working fine and whizzily. I think maybe the suggestion they were swapping servers may be right ( Read more... )

The long weekend is over. As is traditional bank holiday Monday was wet, wet, wet. Fortunately for us this mattered not since we were repainting our lounge walls. When the spring sunshine started blasting through the windows we realised our cream walls were in fact a rather grubby grey colour. This was brilliant fun. Tennant and Tate were clearly having a blast on stage. The story is set in 1980s in Gibraltar, so lots of modern costuming, disco music (yes, really - and yes Tennant can dance), and visual comedy.

It was a thoroughly good night out. Exhausted now.
