Flood!
We had something like 6" of rain in a couple of hours yesterday afternoon and the city drainage system apparently couldn’t handle it. The streets in front of my house had almost 2 feet of water in them. The lower level of my place is bedroom/bathroom/laundry room. In under an hour over 3 feet of water poured in. Puttin' On The Dog!
I spent today at a fundraiser for Adopt A Dog, a local animal rescue. They've been around for over 25 years, saving the lives of dogs (and now cats too). For the last 20 years they've done this great fundraiser, which is basically a community dog show and vendor fair. I volunteered to be a "ring assistant", running one of the show rings. I <3 Long Weekends!
I need 3 days in a row off more often. 3 Days allows me to get things done and still have time to rest & recuperate from the week. Saturday I was able to get most of the laundry done, linens changed, and drive up to spend some time with a friend and her sister.
