I went for my wig fitting at the hospital yesterday.  I had tried to explain what my own hair was like so that they could bring something similar for me to look at but I hated all of them!  I came away quite depressed about it.   I have decided now to go to the actual salon where they will be able to cut the wig into a style that I like ( Read more... )

Is it ever going to stop raining in England?  This is the worst summer that I can remember.  I think we've had rain every single day for the last two months and... if I hear that bloody Umbrella song by Rihanna again I'll go mad!

Reading the Sunday Times today I see that JRR Tolkien's new book, The Children of Hurin will be published on 16 April by Harper Collins. He started the book in 1918 and it has finally been finished by his son, Christopher. It is set 6000 years before Bilbo found the ring. Just thought I'd explain why I haven't been around for a while! I am recovering from my skiing accident! This is the first time I've really been able to get to my computer and actually do some typing. It was good news and bad news when I arrived home from work last night. The good news is the electrician had been and managed to fix some of the lights and some sockets.
