Believe it or not, Gareth has not, in fact, fallen into a hole somewhere and died. Outside the Orkneys' cottage, Gareth is leaning against the wall, his knees drawn up to his chest. He looks almost-- an indeed, it may be safer to presume he's not even capable of the expression-- thoughtful.

Probably sent off by some sister or sister-in-law, Gareth returns to the Orkneys' cottage with a basket full of what herbs and things were clearly identifiable enough for him to be sure he wasn't just picking weeds.

"Hallo?" he calls, sticking his head into the kitchen.

It's sunny out, bright and clear, with just enough bite in the breeze to remind anyone out that it isn't summer yet. Gareth's taking advantage of it, however, and is out practicing his swordsmanship against-- well, at the moment, it's empty air. He's still good, quite good, but he's gotten more out of practice over the winter that he'd like to

Gareth is sitting just outside the Orkneys' cottage, trying to get the most out of the last of the day's-- and likely season's-- sunlight. He can speak English again, fortunately. Not being able to speak to anyone but his brothers was getting tiresome.

It will soon be more remarkable to find an Orkney boy at home, rather than away from it. Gareth has been away since seeing Sagramore (and other things) at the Mansion, and now returns. Gareth knows he should have known better than to try to talk to Gaheris. It has only served to frustrate him, which he knows isn't fair-- knowledge which frustrates him still further. More alarmed than he'd admit by his conversation with Lynette, Gareth has come now in search of anyone from the court at Camelot. He's not sure if he'd rather ask a brother, or if he'd definitely rather not.

In, if possible, an even better mood than he usually is, Gareth has come to Percy's. He's looking for Cimorene, but he's always glad to talk to any of her housemates, too.
