Great solid sheets of ice, thickly coating the driveway and glazing a heavy crust on the snow. The dogs hopped around on a varying number of legs, and returned forthwith.

I think I shan't be going anywhere today either. I've got enough milk for my Darjeeling, and that's all a girl needs, right?

Maybe I'm a dork, but I've been following this Coloured Bull Terrier's progress for the last couple of years, and this year was definitely his to win.
He took Best in Show at the Eukanuba Tournament of Champions a few weeks ago, competing against literally thousands of other dogs.

This gorgeous red merle dog is scheduled to be put down on Thursday if we can't get his rescue sorted out.  Catahoula Rescue is willing to take him into their program, and I'm willing to foster him, but we're having logistical difficulties getting him out of the shelter.

Collected by a hoarder, who is now threatening to shoot any dogs not placed. I will help coordinate transport in any way I can if anybody wants one of these dogs. They'll be coming into Springfield, MO this weekend.
