Friday night:Went to see Grand Derangement, an Acadian band. My impression, and that of other folks I've talked to, is that they were a lot of energy and noise, but not really outstanding. The wonderful little kitten who survived two amputation surgeries, came back from the dead, and who had been generally thriving, broke with wicked diarrhea Tuesday evening and passed away last night, despite 'round the clock nursing care.
I can't believe he could be so tough and recover so well from everything else, and then crap out this quickly.

Browsing through assorted LJs, I just had this wrenching revelation that I still desperately want to do Peace Corp, and there's no earthly way...not without abandoning everything in my life here.

Irish Arts Winterfest 2006

I'm so excited....got a short skirt at Wal-Mart this evening, since I'm taking the intermediate step-dancing class and need something I can move in.  After that, I'm taking the ceilidh and set dance classes, then killing time until 7pm when the concert starts.
