I've been in my bed since Saturday, and I'm still here. I hurt my back badly, doing nothing. I can hardly walk and I have to pee in a bucket. I'll hopefully be going to the doctor tommorrow. Whee, fun. -

I was reading an article on choice and decision-making earlier this week whilst at work. In it was an interesting statement on loss versus gain. It said: We know from lots of research that losses feel more bad than gains feel good. This is very true for me. I tend to focus so much more on the bad things than the good. Beagle report:
Sassy had her ultrasound -- after the specialist being late and us having to go home and then go back later -- and the results are really good!! Her heart is alright, although it has a slight enlargement of the right atrium and some narrowing of the muscle walls, but this is normal for an almost-eleven-year-old Beagle. - Seven months since mike_zero and I became a couple/declared exclusivity/kissed/started to fall in love/et cetera...
- Seventh vertebra in my neck is broken, permanently, but in a stable way. It's an uncommon break called a Clay-Shoveler's Fracture and it's where a bit of bone is snapped off due to hyperflexion with the arms extended. I probably did it in ( Read more... )
