My mother works at the Rachel Carson building in Harrisburg, PA.  Every year, a pair of peregrine falcons nest on the roof in a specially set-up, camera-wired box.  Mom likes to send us the video feed when things start to get interesting.  The last of this year's chicks hatched on May 7th, so they're between 9-7 days old and already HUGE.  I've ( Read more... )

Handy tricks for taming wild fosters:

• Canned food.  Feed regularly in one specific place (Chester only gets wet food in his kennel), but vary up the feeders if your household contains more than one person.  Socialize, socialize!  Feed whenever they start to cry.  They're babies, you can't really overfeed them.
