38. Eight Skilled Gentlemen by Barry Highart (Part Three of the Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox). Not much more to say about these books, except that I highly recommend them. There's a bit of a formula at work here (a Sino-mythic-legendary-romping-rogue-adventure formula), but it doesn't inhibit the enjoyment in the least--not least because there's a lot of heart here. Yay!
