While I was at work today, the shadowbox with my gold medal and my picture in it from the year we won nationals when I was in Oracle fell off my fireplace mantle and broke apart. A short walk to clear my head turned into basically circling Capital Hill. I'm kinda proud of myself. I started walking west from my apartment (12th & Elizabeth). My grandma had back surgery yesterday.. the poor lady is still in the hospital. She'll be okay, but seeing as though I didn't know about it until after it happened, I was a little shaken by it.
