You may have noticed that I am updating much less frequently. A big part of that, I think, is because there are fewer changes to be noticed (at least, obvious ones). My body, mind, and spirit are still changing, but it's a much slower process. My parents and grandmother came to my graduation on Sunday. Before the ceremony began when all the graduates were still filing in, I was texting my father about placement and pictures. I told him how I was going to be the second name called in my major, and he replied ( Read more... )

Went down to Woodland earlier this week to the courthouse, and got my name changed all officially and whatnot. Then, I went into the university registrar and had them change it, and the next day I got my new UCD ID. Check it out:

I've been noticing that within the last couple of weeks, I've been getting gendered correctly in public the vast majority of the time! (Only time it's incorrect is when someone has to look at my license or other "official" information, which has not yet been updated.) My voice is lowering!!! I said “call me Nathan” when roll was called in my Contemporary Masculinities class, and it was okay! I didn’t feel awkward at all. Yesterday at my appointment, I did it all myself! The nurse brought everything in (needles, syringes, alcohol swabs, gauze, band-aid), except the testosterone (which I had brought). Been noticing some slight physical changes as of late. I received a second injection last Tuesday morning, the day I left for Florida. I suppose I didn't really expect to see anything of significance this soon, so this is surprising! I had gotten a little chubbier in Costa Rica, but different things are happening.
