I know, these things are usually run by BNFs and other people of vast popularity, but there is a massive shortage of Friending Memes to do with books on LJ so I decided to add one, albeit a bit of a specific one! :3
I've never done one of these before! But people who like Discworld must be awesome, so what the hell :D
You've arrived on the Disc! And a horse and cart have magically appeared before you! What region are you anxious to see first? Ankh-Morpork, naturally. All roads lead there, after all, and I love big cities!
I see! Does your favourite character live there? No? Who is your favourite character, then? Probably! If Rincewind isn't running away from something somewhere on the disc, he'd be there, Vimes and Vetinari certainly would be, and Susan lives outside space and time so technically she's everywhere ;)
Ooh, nice. And your least favourite? Yes, everybody has a least favourite - even if they don't admit to it in public! Carrot does live there too, yes ¬_¬ I'm sorry, he's just so annoying!
Fascinating. So, your favourite book would be...? If you forced me to answer this, say, by having Detritus yell the same question at me repeatedly, I'd have to say Night Watch. Interesting Times, Last Hero, Going Postal and Carpe Jugulum are

The horse's teeth, of course, with perhaps a cursory glance for more netherly regions. And then, after that, Howondaland.
I see! Does your favourite character live there? No? Who is your favourite character, then?
Fortunately no. My favorite character is, uh. Let's go with Cheri Littlebottom.
Ooh, nice. And your least favourite? Yes, everybody has a least favourite - even if they don't admit to it in public!
You mean internet comment threads aren't public?
Oh, well. *looks to the left and from thence to the right*
I... actually have no idea. For serious. Uh. I'm not that fond of Imp, or whatever his name is? The one that looks Elvish.
Fascinating. So, your favourite book would be...?
Jingo or Going Postal. Maybe. It varies.
Eek! William de Worde has been hot on your tail and now wants a little word with you. Don't mind that flash - Otto has his favourite picture-box with him. So! What do you tell de

You've arrived on the Disc! And a horse and cart have magically appeared before you! What region are you anxious to see first? I'd shuffle along the Sto Plains, call in at Sto Lat and Sto Helit to ease myself into the whole thing. And from there it's just a hop, skip and a jump to Ankh-Morpork.
I see! Does your favourite character live there? No? Who is your favourite character, then? Vimes lives there, indeed. As does William de Worde.
Ooh, nice. And your least favourite? Yes, everybody has a least favourite - even if they don't admit to it in public! I'm sure I could never say such a thing! *coughTeatimecough*
Fascinating. So, your favourite book would be...? Night Watch is excellent. And I do love The Truth. Actually, it's a bit of a toss-up between the two. And a special place in my heart for Small Gods and Pyramids.

You've arrived on the Disc! And a horse and cart have magically appeared before you! What region are you anxious to see first?
Either to Ankh-Morpork of Lancre in the Ramtop Mountains, it depends on the horse really and where I have landed in the Disc....and at what stage in the timeline too of course.
I see! Does your favourite character live there? No? Who is your favourite character, then?
Several of my favourite characters either live in A-M or Lancre. In A-M it's Vimes, Vetinari and Lipwig to name a few. In Lancre it's the Feegles, Tiffany and Granny.
Ooh, nice. And your least favourite? Yes, everybody has a least favourite - even if they don't admit to it in public!
Vorbis, from Small Gods.
Fascinating. So, your favourite book would be...?
Er...only one? Hmm...*opens mouth to speak...closes mouth again*...*drums fingers on table*...what ab-hm... for a long time growing up my favourite one was Lords and Ladies and then I read more of the Watch books...so it became Night Watch and then... (we may be here a while

You've arrived on the Disc! And a horse and cart have magically appeared before you! What region are you anxious to see first? Straight to Ankh-Morpork, where all my favorites are.
I see! Does your favourite character live there? No? Who is your favourite character, then? Yep. In fact, probably all of my tops are there. Vimes, Vetinari, Angua, Carrot, Moist, Adorabella, William de Worde....
Ooh, nice. And your least favourite? Yes, everybody has a least favourite - even if they don't admit to it in public! Hmm...of the main characters, probably Rincewind. I was never big on the Wizard books.
Fascinating. So, your favourite book would be...? Night Watch.
Eek! William de Worde has been hot on your tail and now wants a little word with you. Don't mind that flash - Otto has his favourite picture-box with him. So! What do you tell de Worde about? Anything he cares to ask, really. I'd find him pretty hard to resist. Though I'd want to hear tales from his adventures in journalism in return.

It's Ankh-Morpork. You can get Dibbler's pies in pints. ;-)
