All right, well, I promised you the pictures of the Ring of Kerry yesterday, but the weather was unexpectedly nice, so I decided to go to Blarney village and Blarney Castle instead. Killarney National Park & Ross Castle
Well, I've had two awesome days. Seriously amazing. Yesterday morning, I took the bus to Killarney, which is about a two hours drive. Here's a picture of Ireland to refresh your memory (in case you've forgotten where Cork/Killarney are).

My shoulders hurt so much! Let me tell you a story that is bound to make you feel better. There's no better form of humour than leedvermaak, right? ;) OK, so Ellen told me that there was a Lidl in Cork where everything was heaps cheaper than in the normal supermarket. Groceries - especially fruit, meat and vegetables - are incredibly expensive here ( Read more... ) -

Well, I'm going to keep it short, because I'm really tired and I want to go to sleep! I arrived in Cork this morning, found my room around noon and spent the entire afternoon wandering around Cork, which really is a beautiful city. So in exactly one week and one day, I'll be in Cork! Very exciting indeed. I've got so much stuff I need to prepare - I have to pack my trunk, make sure everything's filled out and arranged, buy items I'll really need in Ireland - and, on top of it all, say goodbye to family and friends.

I went back to campus last Thursday and spent the night in my future unit. The people I'll be sharing it with are very nice (I have no choice but to say that, as some of them actually read this blog ;)) and although I won't have a top room, I think I'll have a good time there. How can I not, with Sanne and Suzan as my unit mates?

August 23rd. The day I turn 20. I couldn't not post on my birthday, could I? My birthday has proven to be quite uneventful so far (read: boring) but then again, I did give a small birthday bash a week ago, so I'm not expecting a lot today.

Ireland Countdown: One Month
Well... one month minus two days, really. And with all of my other friends starting weblogs to keep in touch while they're on exchange, I've finally made one of my own.
