TV: the good the bad and the ... Arghhhhhhhhhh!
Well, I've been super busy lately, trying to keep up with work, but more with family dramas that just aren't worth rehashing here right now, because this (LJ) and TV are my escape... My happy place!

The long goodbye.... when your TV show calls it a day.
Today they announced that this, the ninth, season of The Office will be its last. Over the next eight months I'll be saying goodbye to a show that I have loved quietly, though just as deeply as those I've loudly fangirled over.

Rock Of Ages
I went to the movies today with my daughter and her friends, where they were also meeting two boys. My instructions were to pretend I didn't even know her! I think that failed when she left me at the candy bar with more food than I could handle, but after parting with a handful of Twisties (a savoury snack food) I disappeared into the woodwork.

New toys
I have just been given a new iPad for work. I think I am in love!
It's everything I never realised I needed/wanted, and makes all my social networking so much easier. I think typing on it is even quicker. Now, if only I could run adobe photoshop on it, I'd never need a laptop again!

Long overdue New York post.
Long story short: I've not been in good place the past 6 months (maybe more) and I retreated. But I'm feeling better and now I'm back to give you part one of my long overdue account of my trip to NYC at the beginning of this year.

Book of Potter
Since I got back from NYC, I've been listening to the Book of Mormon OBCR constantly. This brilliant Harry Potter/BoM crossover happened my way today. Enjoy :D
