Since the likes of milescosm and baltimoron decided to turn the comments section of the last posting into a wankerfest, and I'm really not in the mood for retard farming, I have to choose between killing the comments section, or just not using this thing anymore. That sucks beyond the telling of it.

But if it's a choice between killing the whole thing and not getting to comment any more, I think it's a no brainer. I'd rather be a silent observer to your musings than miss out completely.

You should probably go on and leave now, then, because I'm honestly surprised it took this long for a situation like the one you're describing to come up. An unmoderated message board (which the comments section of a well-publicised livejournal like yours essentially is) is pretty much just a proving ground for my own personal theory that the fear of reprisal and/or accountability is the only thing that holds our societies together. When there's no chance they'll get stomped for it, most people just can't help but be assholes.

Warren, I'd like to respectfully cast my vote for the former option. I enjoy reading your random musings a great deal, and it'd be a shame to see them go- kill the comments, let the wolves eat the free-range retards, and keep on posting.

And I don't know if you've heard of this movie, but it's one of my favorites and it's finally getting released outside of Thailand- it's not a deeply complex musing on the human condition, but it is a very enjoyable action movie... perhaps the only action movie to date that involves a tuk-tuk chase.
