I am so happy that my gigs have all come to an end. At least for the time being. I celebrated Saturday night after my last violin gig by going over to a member of DeCantus' house and celebrated with my fellow singers. Most of the people at the party were from the Ren Fest, so it was an eclectic group of folks. I am starting to get to know these ( Read more... ) -
breaking hair news
For the first time since middle school I am leaving the house without having curled my hair. Sometimes I have had perms, sometimes I was sick and didn't do anything with it, but I am leaving with my hair completely straight ( Read more... ) -

I had a dream this morning that I awoke to find Pierre's arm wrapped around me. Surprised and pleased to see him back in bed (and not at work) I was elated to have an entire day with him. Then the phone rang and awoke me for real and I was ever so disappointed not to have him in bed snuggling me. I think I am still sad. -
three hours of playing is too much
I have this gig where I play very simple holiday songs on my violin around the metro area at liquor stores. It's only on Saturdays and I have three performances left. I haven't had to work very hard at practicing, which is helpful and the money is beyond sublime. The only downfall is the amount of time I have to play. My back has been killing me ( Read more... ) -
it is time
Today I had a gig with DeCantus and I put my hair up in spirit of the Dickensian outfits we don as part of our performance. My two-toned hair was an eye sore to behold. Down it is manageable. Likable perhaps. An up-do? Nay, tis to horrible to comprehend.
I thought I could grow out the black. But I cannot stand it. I must dye it again. -
sister dear
I finally got to talk to my sister Robin now that she is home from the hell that is Iraq. An hour and a half long phone conversation, no less. It was like reconnecting with an old friend, it wasn't difficult to find things to say to her.
