All sorts of things are going on in my life right now. We've had to euthanize not one but 2 horses in the last three weeks because of broken legs. We've NEVER had a horse w/ a broken leg. I have an English degree, but I tutor my students in basic math (nothing higher than basic algebra and geometry) and physics. To me, it's not that big of a deal because I either know the stuff already, or it's easy enough to find out. I used to have this weird mixing of the senses when I was growing up, but not so much now. I learned as an adult that it has a name (synesthesia, I think....) and while it's uncommon, it's not unheard of. An example was loud, awful noises would make me see the color red. I saw one of my former students from several years ago at the grocery store, of all places. It was really cool because I recognized her (sometimes hard when it's been several years.... people can change so much sometimes!).
