Idioms
There are some idioms in English that I really love. One of them is "Let the chips fall where they may."
I have never used it myself. But isn't it perfect? It's a pleasant, metaphorical way of saying, "Fuck it. Whatever!" It may be something I will never utter IRL, but I never get tired of hearing it.

On poetry: being too close to your subject

The new love of my life!
He's here! Rex was born on July 22nd, 3 days past his due date. He was 9 lbs. 9.5 oz when he was born, and 21 inches long.

IKEA, 35 weeks, ranty rant
For the longest time, I thought IKEA was supposed to be an expensive store. Why? Because when I'd see IKEA furniture on design shows and in magazines, that shit looked trendy & modern and all Bauhaus-like. It looked like the kind of thing rich people had in their houses. Utah--an interesting phone call and a beautiful ceremony
