Today I worked on Mr. Mason's house. He fed us 4-ft po'boys for lunch - 3 kinds: shrimp, oyster, and sausage. My first po' boy - delicious. We built and replaced beams, removed siding, and wandered the neighborhood taking pictures. Yesterday I got as close to Normal as I'm likely to get, passing through Bloomington. I spent the night in a smoky grungy motel in Cape Girardeau, and made it to New Orleans in time for Easter dinner. kaytecat's surgery went very well; she can give out details later. It started 3 hours later than scheduled; she was out of recovery at 10pm, is sleeping now, and will probably go home tomorrow.
