There is a beautiful monarch butterfly that has taken to visiting me for the past three days or so.  He floats on the wind just outside the window and says hello.  I have to say.......it's pretty damn magical.

My friend Laura is officially moving with me to California, which is wonderful news.  Now we just need to find a place to live.  We're looking for a 2-bedroom in the Santa Monica area.  Our max is $2200 but ideally we'd stay around $2000.  If you hear about something please pass it along!!!  :)

I can only pick it up in the middle.  I have just bought some new fish for my aquarium.  I'm in an incredibly large house or hotel with several large tanks.  All I remember is opening the bag of freshwater and finding a LARGE seahorse inside with a very pregnant belly and some kind of extra sack.  I'm horrified, realizing that she's probably dying ( Read more... )

So my trip to the West Coast was fun and involved crazy travel.  Went on a job interview.  Saw my sister graduate college - yea Loni!  Went to Disneyland with my mom and two sisters, we haven't done anything like that in many years.  I LOVE DISNEYLAND!  Especially the Tiki Room.  It's my favorite.  I could totally live there.

My sisters and I are going to be taking a road trip along the whole breadth of Route 66 - from Chicago to Santa Monica the second week of July.  I'm still working on the details, and I thought maybe some of you out there could help me!  Anyone done a stretch on Route 66?  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Pitfalls to avoid?  Sites not to miss?  I'd love any ( Read more... )
