My wife and I decided to try going almost completely vegan for a month, and we're about two weeks into it.

We've been dairy-free for about 25 years ago since she got tired of me farting like crazy every time we had butter or ice cream or pizza. Giving up dairy really helped my digestion, and we've come a long way in finding non-dairy alternatives ( Read more... )

GARDEN: Finished up laying a patio/walkway of sorts along the side of our garage next to our raised bed gardens. We've planted some seeds for spinach, lettuce, parsnips, radishes and herbs. The seedlings are ready for pickup this Saturday, but we'll probably wait a week to plant ( Read more... )

Thanks to everyone for their feedback on my Mom's surprise adoption of a kitten, which made her apartment unvisitable for my wife due to her severe cat allergies.

This Sunday when I called her, she announced that my brother and his wife had just come by to pick up the kitten because she couldn't handle her high energy level. They have several cats ( Read more... )

Sometimes I'm forgetful. I don't think it's too bad, but it worries my wife.Tuesday morning I left for work, intending first thing to text a local business to make an appointment for Thursday evening at 6. I used to make my wife laugh all the time, but lately I haven't found myself to be very funny. I enjoy being playful, but some of that seems to have been drained out of me. I don't know why, exactly. I get in these stick-in-the-mud moods occasionally, and I know that affects her.
