By way of a stroke of genius on Amy's part, we got to go see Nine Inch Nails again for virtually no expense on our part ($15 parking, that was it). Turns out an old, forgotten gift card she'd gotten had $200 worth of credit on it for the venue (Palace of Auburn Hills), so away we went!

My father is sixty years old today. We'll be leaving soon for a big family visit. In a nice bit of role-reversal, we bought him a Nintendo Wii along with a Tiger Woods golf game. So when I got home from work, my gas gauge is still a sliver above the "e", and I've got 417 miles. It's a ten-gallon tank, so it's not hard to crunch the math: roughly 42 miles per gallon. Not quite Prius territory, but doing "standard" driving, I'd get roughly 320 miles on one tank. I've raised my fuel economy by about ten miles per gallon, and ( Read more... )

I've gotten to the half-point on my fuel gauge. Half a tank is gone. Miles thus far: 248. That's on five gallons of gas. While the bottom half of my fuel gauge tends to go faster than the top half, I think it's safe to say that I'll hit my 400 goal before refilling the tank. Not bad...!
