I feel sorry for younger lawyers who have never lost cases, and never had strings of losing cases. By sheer happenstance, I have had a run of winning juvenile and district cases against a certain young ADA. He just gets stung to the heart. The Buick is also in the shop---the lock on the ignition sprung as I was obtaining my rental car. So now I have two cars in the shop!

How many people have to be shot before there is gun regulation? Thankful for quick-thinking teachers, praying for all the parents and children, and for the first responders. What a horrible thing. I hope I'm never so hardened so as not to weep for the loss of life. If that is coherent.

The oil light flickers on. Steve, my faithful mechanic, says its probably the sensor. It goes off when I drive. But, Steve wants to buy the Buick of Possible Sudden Death!
