Pet foods not on the recall lists.

I am not including a copy of this list here, because Petsit USA keeps up to date on the latest developments and updates their list accordingly. FYI, in the sidebar they provide links to other sites with helpful information, such as the FDA and Menu Foods.

Menu Foods has expanded its list of recalled pet foods. The recall now calls for all brands involved to be removed, regardless of the date of manufacture. The original recall applied only to wet food made at its Emporia, KS, and Pennsauken, NJ, plants between Dec. 3 and March 6, 2006.

Menu Foods has still not been able to identify the cause of the problem with various pet foods processed at their facilities. Scary. Even scarier.... If the culprit is an ingredient from one of their suppliers, who else does that supplier sell to? Pet food manufacturer Menu Foods has issued a recall of canned dog and cat foods that they sell to various retailers for re-labeling with their house brand. Retailers include Kroger, Safeway, Wal-Mart, and PetSmart. Other brands affected are Nutro and Iams/Eukanuba.

Mary Flowers (D) of Chicago is once again tying up the IL House with her idiotic bill that would make it illegal for Chicago schoolchildren to not wash their hands with antibacterial soap before eating.
