hmmmm if I had to give up computers and pondering physics.. I think I would probably become an artist. I have that lackadaisical "go work in the barn when I feel like it" attitude and I firmly believe that if you price something high enough people will buy it just because it's expensive, plus I think it would be fun.

Good Question! chemchick March 22 2004, 16:07:00 UTC
Well, if I could be a chemist any longer, and I were still in college, I think that I might have pursued a career in psychology. Specifically the creation and implimentation of psychological experiments. I minored in psychology and my favorite course was the psychology of learning. Everyone else hated it, but I found it so interesting that I would often time spend HOURS analyzing psychological scenarios. In retrospect, that IS a bit like chemistry, but instead of chemicals, it's people.

Or I would have gone to business school and owned everyone. (j/k)

As it is, my passion for animation has roots in caricature, acting, storytelling, design, studies of time and motion, practical geometry, applied physics, mathematical perspective, and pretty much any other aspect of all of the visual and performing arts. Passion for animation leads me into aspects of a plethora of different subjects, and that's part of what drew me to it in the first place. If I wasn't animating though, I'd probably enjoy focusing on the character acting and improv I've done and build on that, or maybe develop my skills as a writer and work towards becoming a decent satirist.

I would die. Literally, just stop my heart right now.
