Is it worth trying to get home this weekend? I know its only Wednesday but I'm in two minds about travelling back up - I do not trust the weather forecasts because they are so unpredictable any more than one day ahead.

On the otherhand home is where you should be, and there is a landrover gagging to be taken out in the snow.

We woke this morn to find the shire under another blanket of fresh snow, twas and still is most pretty. So adorned with wellies and thermals we pottered off with the hound for a wonder and this is what the shire looked like.

Down here in the shire it has been a little frosty of late, so bad was the frost this-morning that we were unable to open the doors on the rover, they were iced shut! the other one provided less resistance and showed minus 7.5 at 10 in the morning! This morning there was a miriad of Socks, some really good ones and some well nuff said. Some quality knitwear and lots of chocolate.  The Tagine is prepped and on the hob, real coffee on the go.

It must be XMas.

A moderate intake of Caorunn gin, paprika beef stew, and volcanic popping candy chocolate orange.

Its absoluteley Christmassy down here in the shire, twas snowing when the leves stirred this morn, crisp underfoot with the bif marshmallowy flakes coming down a plenty.
