Bee species in the garden
I need to buy a better book on bees. I think there are at least four and possibly five bumble bee species that visit the garden, plus honey bees. Wildlife in the burb-clave
After seeing some unusual (to me at any rate ) wildlife in the back garden, I have decided to start logging what I see and trying to learn some of the scientific names.

Whatever happened to bitter?
We're on holiday and I occasionally like to indulge myself with a lunchtime pint. However, I'm not looking to get hammered, just to relax, so a pint about 3 to 3.5 per cent alcohol would be perfect. But can I find such a thing?

Bellowhead
Eleven people are on the stage: a four-piece brass section; a classical trio (cello, violin and clarinet/violin); and sandwiched between them a trad folk band (accordion, fiddle and multi-stringed instrument player) plus a dancing drummer, playing what can only be called Funk-folk. Masterful!

Audiophiles
One of the casualties of the move was the stylus on my turntable, and today I finally got round to replacing it. Cropredy 2010
The last three months have been stressful and the beginning of last week saw me in bed for two days with complete exhaustion (to the extent I even contemplated not going), so it was with a big smile on my face that I turned left into the Top gate entrance last Wednesday. Bruntsfield no more
So we have moved. In the end the actual move was rather painless. Paying for a packer turned out to be the best couple of hundred we've spent for a long time.
