I just received a call from a restricted number. My cellphone rang, and I answered it as I occasionally do. "Matt Zeppa speaking" says I. "Can you send me to Matthew's voicemail please?" responds the caller ( Read more... )

I got called 3 weeks ago by someone who informed me I was going to die in 7 days. They didn't like that I kept calling them back.

That is really bizarre. I know sometimes when I am expecting a voicemail and get the real person, I am a little thrown. But I recover and talk to them.

As to the calling back, deinemuse, that is so awesome. Everyday, at 6 am, "Hi, I am still alive." and hang up.

I meant to post their phone number up at the chiller con so everyone could check with them if they were going to die in 7 days too.

Yeah, I dunno if people rehearse all the verbose things they're going to say to you when they pick up the phone or what, but I get a lot of this:

RINGRING!!!!!

"This is Andrea."

"Uhh, is this Andrea?"

I just want to hang up.
