Celestine!  My Viking Sapphire.  She's a BLAST to play with and sew on!  I had NO IDEA I was getting it for Christmas!  My klunky Kenmore is now in the closet, stowed away as an emergency backup. 
I'm trying to get all the playtime I can on my new machine before school starts.

Since I haven't found any Christmas cards that I really like enough to pay for them, I've decided to create quilted cards this year.  I must be truly insane.  Good thing my list isn't that long.

It has been a crazy fall.  Some good, some bad, some plain in-between.  I'm reminded that as the leaves of the trees need to fall in order for the tree to survive winter and be reborn in the spring, so we must all endure whatever comes our way in order to survive and come back stronger and more beautiful than before.

I received an email today from SMU Guildhall detailing changes in the curriculum and ending with the phrase "see you on January 7, 2008", so I think it's safe to say that I got into the Guildhall!!!!!

I got to meet Eleanor Burns at the quilt show. She hosts the TV show "Quilt in a Day" and had written a ton of books. She was so incredibly nice and friendly in person and was ecstatic to see a group of young quilters at the show.  I got to take a picture with her and she gave us all boas to wear.  It was so cool!
