I'm finally home.  It's nice, but I have a lot of unpack still.  I hadn't finished when all this happened, so I have a lot to do still.  I'm concentrating on laundry and cleaning for the next couple days and then I'll start unpacking again.  We managed to get the trailer into the driveway in the back.  The alley is very narrow so we couldn't back ( Read more... )

I think my sister has packed up and left.  She took some diapers and formula but left a lot of clothes behind.  I don't know if she's coming back.

So my stepfather asked me while I was here to go through mom's jewlery with my sisters.  Today he asked us to bring it all back to him to have him look at what we all gave each other.  He said we were wrong to do this without him, even though he asked me to!  And now we're all upset and crying.  My sisters and I had gone through three hours of this ( Read more... )

So I tried hard to make the deadline for ConceptArt.org's Creature of the Week. Every week they post a description and the members of the forum have a week to create a creature concept art piece based on the description. For those who don't know, James got into the Texas MBA program in Dallas (YEAH!).  It looks like he might be required to spend every other Friday night at a hotel in Downtown Dallas. So, I'm not happy about that, and we're looking into possibly getting a refund if he does stay at the hotel, but we'll see.

Dole is making Organic bannanas now, but they're doing something extra cool with it.  On the bannanas they give a sticker with a farm code that you can look up on their website and see more about the farm and see some pictures of where the bannanas came from.  So my bannana today came from Farm# 773.  Here's a link to that farm with some pretty ( Read more... )
