This weekend was our annual Chili Cook-Off. There is never much going on in my town, so this was a big deal. The clinic always has a booth. The rapist was paroled today. He served 4 and a half years of his 20 year sentence. I was shocked, I knew that he would eventually get parole, just not this soon. One of my favorite patients is in the hospital. She is an 18 year old with anorexia and bulimia, she also is a cutter and drug abuser. She had not eaten in a week and was not able to keep any fluids down, but continued to use drugs. She came to the clinic almost unable to walk, so she was admitted and placed on a feeding tube.
