Did anyone else as a kid used to pretend they were an amputee by hiding their arm in their jumper/ jacket? It really used to wind up my mum, especially the sympathetic looks i'd get from cashiers and other shoppers. Great fun, i'm going to try it again on the way home from Tesco on the bus and see if someone helps me carry my shopping...
