Foodlink was pretty much the same as always. We sorted food into different categories and there was more of a variety this time. Today was not the most exciting day at my internship, but that is to be expected in the business world. All of the Marketing team said that the last two weeks were insanely busy. This was a good trip to Foodlink. Some days there seem to go on forever and you just get stuck lifting 50 pound boxes, but this time was a bit more fun. This presentation was extremely moving. To come to think of it, I've really never had that much information on HIV and AIDS other than watching RENT a million times. Today at Stantec I did a lot of organizational tasks. I put mailing address labels on postcards first. It was very mundane, but interesting at the same time because I was able to see where they were going. It ranged from Canada to Florida to Athens, Greece. This week's visit at Foodlink was very similar to the other visits. We sorted food for people in the area who are needy. The main focus was on beverages. We had to sort each beverage into its designated box and then move the box to a palette. I found it very interesting that they are very stringent as to which drinks are healthy.
