So A is doing well in kindergarten, but yesterday when I picked her up, I noticed she had a black eye, which wasn't something she had when I dropped her off that morning. Apparently one of the "bigger" boys hit her. This would be the same boy that had pushed her friend Alexis the day before. I did ask her teacher if she knew what happened, which ( Read more... )

So today was/is A's first day of school. She looked super cute in her little outfit, altho I didn't realize her shoes were a little too big and might cause her some problems. Yay!!!! A's been approved to go to Hendricks! They gave us the packet with all the goodies in it, including the bumper sticker which, by the way, is already on the car. It's such a relief! Well, today I began the enrollment/registration process. I also found out that the state of Arizona has mandated all day kindergarten. It kind of puts a damper on the whole "this is why I want my kid in this school instead of that other one she's suppose to go to" deal. The charter school is a no-go. I called after not hearing anything for 5 (technically just 3 coz 2 were weekend days) days, and got a snooty reply when asked what was going on.
