Upholdin' the law
Still working at that law firm. The usual receptionist broke her foot, so I'll be covering the dreaded phones until she's healed and back at work, possibly up to two weeks. My only resolution for 2011 was to only read books by female authors, and I did! Not as many books as in past years, but that's okay. It was my first year out of school and I was enjoying being able to read at my own pace and not having to annotate everything.

I started some temporary work at my aunt's law firm, helping them with their backlog of paperwork that needs to get processed before the end of the year. Today was just sitting in a office doing clerical stuff, which was perfectly fine. Gratuitous kitten post
When I was a kid my grandfather found a litter of five kittens in his garage and my family ended up taking them in. They were only a few weeks old, still needed to be bottle fed and everything, so we had the fun of raising them until they were old enough to adopt out. All the weirdos in the world
Being a fan of both musicals and lulzy trainwrecks, my interest was piqued a while ago by the Spiderman musical, Turn Off the Dark. I boggled over the 65 million dollars spent on it and the horrible on-set accidents and the fact that U2 was writing the music, and now the reviews of the final product are coming out. Orange everywhere
It'll be rainy and humid for a few more days here but we are definitely heading into autumn, my favorite time of year. I love seeing Halloween stuff popping up in stores. I'm already planning pumpkin carving and trips to the orchard and cooking things full of cinnamon and other delicious fall flavors. And time to break out the orange nail polish. ( Read more... ) -
